Actor Tia Mowry has been using her newfound free time in quarantine the same way as many others: taking the time to nest and make her home as comfortable and tidy as possible. But her approach has gone above and beyond. Working with nine different independent makers, she’s launched Etsy’s first-ever celebrity collaboration, available today.
“To be able to collaborate with female makers and come up with some incredible pieces was a wonderful experience,” she says. “What I love about these items is that they’re functional and practical but also beautiful.” The collection’s palette is mainly neutral, with a few graphic black-and-white prints, and includes a variety of small, everyday essentials: baskets that can easily store kids’ toys, shallow vessels for safekeeping jewelry, and simple ceramics that make even leftovers feel special.
In a particularly stressful time, Mowry believes in design that feels calm and cozy. “When I come home, it’s all about having a zen space where I am at peace,” she says.
