New year, new home? Well, at least that’s what’s on Pretty Little Liars alum Ashley Benson’s mind. While moving house might not fall high on our 2018 resolutions list, purchasing a refined, rustic abode was apparently very important to the Cali-born actress. According to Variety, Benson just picked up a charming Spanish-style spread in the Laughlin Park area of Los Feliz, CA, for $1.8 million. Sheri Bienstock of The Bienstock Group executed the sale.

While the West Coast native can often be spotted roaming the streets of Manhattan, Benson’s new buy may signal a craving for warmer weather (and we’re guessing the recent bomb cyclone and frigid New York temps had something to do with her decision). Or perhaps it was Laughlin Park’s star-studded streets that inspired the 20-something actress to put down new roots—Natalie Portman, Kristen Bell, and Jason Segel are just a few celebs Benson will be able to call neighbors.

It was only two years ago that Benson showed off her house-flipping skills when she renovated and sold this Mediterranean-inspired villa in Beverly Hills. However, her new SoCal abode—which boasts beautiful arches, French doors, and rustic finishes throughout—requires little fixing up.

The cozy hillside pad, which was built in 1925, spans 2,600 square feet, and includes three bedrooms and two full baths in the main home. An attached two-room studio (which even has its own private entrance) offers additional space for visiting guests to unwind.

Rustic details and modern elements seamlessly blend in the light-filled living room. While arched ceiling cutouts and an exclusively white fireplace speak to the villa’s original character, updated hardwood floors offer a contemporary surface to walk about.

In this same space, a series of French doors offers instant access to the home’s north-facing terrace, where the actress can soak in the lush views of her leafy backyard oasis (and on especially clear days, Griffith Park Observatory).

Romantic details like the all-wood door and ceramic tiled floors immediately charm Benson’s galley-style kitchen. Beyond, sunny yellow countertops and vintage whitewashed cabinets add 1920s charisma to what appears to be a relatively small cooking space (at least by celebrity standards).

The master bedroom offers a clean, neutral palette for the Spring Breakers star to impart her edgy style and personal belongings.

While the triple-story residence has undoubtedly experienced a number of modern updates, fun, villa-inspired elements remain—like this sweet, see-through window in one of the home’s two guest bedrooms.

A second terrace upstairs transports residents from the hills of Los Angeles to the streets of Seville, thanks to its wide-arched openings and elaborate light fixtures.

The stone-clad backyard offers ultimate privacy, as well as plenty of shade for when summer days turn scorchingly hot. Whether or not Benson’s planning on replacing her busy life in NYC with a more quiet one at her new Los Feliz retreat, we can all agree that this sweet villa serves as a serene spot to escape the city noise—even if just for one night.
