In my head, I was going to be one of those moms who went all out for holidays. We’re talking homemade decorations, mother-daughter baking projects, and festive family outings. But the reality of this season of my life is that every single week since January, at least one family member has been sick. Middle-of-the-night wakeups are still a thing, although thankfully less frequent. Work is hectic right now. All that is to say, for Easter, I’m in my “find the cutest pre-filled basket out there” era and I’m not going to apologize for it! What I will do is share my favorite ready-to-gift options with you (keep reading!).

I know that a time will come when I have the capacity to carefully curate each and every item—which is why I decided to have some fun today and also pull together the best regular Easter baskets, plus the little toys and trinkets I’d stuff one with in my dream world. Hop to it!

The Best Ready-to-Gift Easter Baskets

Just because you’re outsourcing your Easter basket doesn’t mean it can’t feel custom. Is your kid always asking for another book at bedtime? Head to Baskits. Baby just starting to explore the world? You need Oso & Me’s assortment. For my toddler, I picked Crate & Kids’s toddler-specific bundle—those pull-along ducks are going to be a big hit with my on-the-move girl.

The Best (Regular) Easter Baskets

You can go one of two ways with Easter baskets: delightful but very holiday-specific or more subdued but something you could use for everyday storage afterwards. It’s a personal choice, but I will say that if you go the latter route, you can easily perk up your bucket with fun fillers (more on those later).

The Best Easter Basket Toddler Toys

We’re not at the candy and chocolate stage yet, so I focused on toys here. Some we already have and love (my daughter is fully obsessed with Matthew Van Fleet’s interactive Heads board book and all manner of cups), and others are items I’ve been eyeing for a bit (how sweet is that German-made wood flower garden?).
