At some point this holiday season, you’ll be on your way to a party and you’ll make a pit stop at Trader Joe’s to pick up a few goodies for the host. As you peruse the wine selection (it’s worth it) and get lost in the cheese aisle (it happens to the best of us), we suggest taking a second to look around—the pièce de résistance is hiding in a nearby basket. It has come to our attention that the grocery store just brought back its best-selling olive-wood board.
At just $13, it is a steal. Plus, the sturdy surface, measuring seven to eight inches wide, can be used as anything from a chopping block to a charcuterie platter. One Trader Joe’s fan wrote that she’s had hers for a year and it still looks as good as new. To keep it in tip-top shape, rub the olive wood with mineral oil occasionally and hand-wash only.
Pop it in your cart to elevate whatever dish you’re bringing to that get-together. Show up with this and some Manchego or Brie (or whole roasted cabbage, if it’s Friendsgiving) and you’ll instantly be the MVP of the soiree. It’s so much more imaginative than a bottle of red, right?
