Christmas might be coming early for Australian actress and Big Little Lies star Nicole Kidman. According to a slew of reports, the busy A-lister and her country star hubby, Keith Urban, are planning a major move to Manhattan—and, rumor has it, the duo has been eyeing a swanky mansion on the Upper East Side. Per Curbed, the stars are expected to stake their claim to a $39 million home that will reportedly double as a gift to Kidman, who’s hoping to take her talents to Broadway. What better way to show your spouse you care this holiday than, say, gifting them their dream home?

Kidman and Urban currently spend most of their time at their house in Nashville, so it makes sense that they’d be scouting out properties in NYC so Kidman can be a closer to the big stage. And it’s not just the spacious pad’s mind-blowing price tag or prime location that will win the power couple serious bragging rights. The home also boasts a star-studded pedigree: Past residents have included renowned artist Marc Chagall, billionaire Marc Lasry—the home’s current seller—and the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson.

But before any Upper East Siders get too excited at the prospect of celeb neighbors, these reports should be taken for what they are—just reports.

“While there are several interested parties in the house, no deal has been made yet. The house is available,” Adam Modlin, the property’s listing agent and CEO of Modlin Group, tells Domino. While the luxe eight bedroom listing is still, in fact, active, we’re secretly hoping the rumors are true.

Built in 1898, the Central Park-adjacent mansion epitomizes elegant Upper East Side living. While the home’s impressive limestone facade and grand stone balcony make a lavish first impression, the home’s interior also serves to inspire.

The colossal 12,745-square-foot abode spans 16 (!!!) rooms and six stories. On the grand parlor floor, potential buyers will find a palatial dining room, spacious living room with garden views, and a butler’s serving area. Eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a media room, a cellar, and a home gym make up the rest of the property’s astounding square footage.

In just about every room, leaded glass windows and sky-high ceilings offer an abundance of natural light. The home’s ten woodburning fireplaces help keep the entire house warm during the cooler months.

And speaking of the cooler months, each of the chic living rooms offers plenty of room for the Kidman-Urban clan to relax, catch up, and entertain come the holidays.

Original oak wood floors run throughout the 25-foot wide estate. The prevalence of natural wooden finishes in the home continues via a stunning oak staircase that winds upwards, connecting the six stories.

Much like the other generous bedrooms upstairs, the master suite is star-worthy to say the least. Contemporary furnishings and decor strike a harmonious balance when set in contrast with the home’s historic bones.

The home doesn’t lack in outdoor space, either—interested buyers will be pleased to find both a spacious patio on the garden level and a private roof deck atop the sixth floor.

Also on the sixth floor? A fully-equipped kitchen, so master entertainers and their guests need not make the trek downstairs for snacks and drinks. Seeing that an overwhelming amount of celebs—from Katie Couric to Scarlett Johannson—call the Upper East Side home, Kidman and Urban are sure to have no shortage of future dinner party guests should they choose to take the plunge on this seriously impressive property.
