Picture all the decor elements that make up a quintessential Hamptons home. Stunning ocean views? A simple, clean color palette? Plenty of natural light? We’ve found a property that encapsulates all of that—and it’s currently on the market for $45 million.
The stunning, 4,500-square-foot estate is located in Sagaponack, and belonged to famed fashion designer Elie Tahari. Tahari, who purchased the home in 2005, had been using the Crestview Lane retreat as a relaxing beach getaway.
“Crestview has been the epicenter of my family’s life for over a decade. But I’m so focused on my business right now that I haven’t been there for the last two summers. Maybe it’s time for someone else to love it as we have,” said Tahari in a statement.
Judging by the home’s features, we’re thinking it won’t be too hard to find someone new to love the home. The oceanfront property has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and 250 feet of beach access. Sitting on two and a half acres, there’s definitely no shortage of space in which to relax.
The Hamptons property is full of wooden accents and natural materials that lend an organic feel to the space. It incorporates a 200-year-old barn into the layout, which has original rustic wooden beams and walls of glass that make the place even more spacious.
A master bedroom suite looks out onto the Atlantic, with large sliding glass doors and windows opening onto a private terrace. The suite—which includes a spa bathroom—takes up the entire second floor of the home.
The outdoor area is ideal for summer, with a 60-foot lap pool and basketball court providing several opportunities for enjoying the great outdoors. A dining area situated under a cabana is perfect for summer entertaining, and there’s even an adjacent fire pit.
While all of this is already impressive, the property’s next owner will have access to even more space. Plans for an extension—which would expand the home to about 10,000 square feet and eight bedrooms—have already been approved by the village zoning board.
