Lather Up: Vacation’s Classic Whip Sunscreen

Who knew my two favorite things, whipped cream and sunscreen, could come together to create something even better? Just when life was starting to feel a little too serious, Vacation’s cheeky new product is SPF 30 sunscreen in a can because, well, why not? I’ve been lathering up with its classic lotions since the brand’s 2021 launch (the scent takes me right back to childhood beach trips), and it may have my favorite branding…ever. If there’s one thing I’ll do before summer ends, it’s sit on a crowded beach and apply Classic Whip as beachgoers watch in confusion. —Julia Stevens, style editor

Floor to Ceiling: Aelfie x Wallpops

I already consider myself a resident of Aelfie Oudghiri’s prismatic world, and now the rug maker is about to climb up my walls, too. Her first peel-and-stick collaboration with Wallpops features 12 patterns—from a play on leopard to a pastel geometric theme—that you can preview in your space via the site before you make a colorful commitment, though I recommend just going for it. Pattern Party: Kalon x Reath Design

TikTok’s coastal grandmas won’t be able to resist Reath Design and Kalon Studios’s first mind-meld: a sofa, chair, and daybed. Cloudlike, down-filled cushions in a mishmash of chintz, gingham, and stripes (as Reath as things come) sit on top of no-nonsense sugar-pine frames (Kalon’s signature) for a hit of nostalgia that’s cool not cloying. Stove Style: Caraway’s Teakettle

Courtesy of Caraway

My bedtime routine starts with boiling water to brew a cozy cup of herbal tea. And while the electric kettle my partner insisted on buying completes the task in record time, its stainless steel exterior has always left me wanting more. Caraway’s new stovetop version is nontoxic, lightweight, and ceramic coated—pretty much confirming my current one’s replacement. I’m ready to trade alarm clock–like beeps for that sweet whistling sound. Now all that’s left to decide is whether to go with the new mist colorway or stick with classic cream to match my fry pan. —Morgan Bulman, associate commerce editor

Showstopper: Sexy Show at Objective Gallery

Works by Nicholas Devlin and Otherside Objects

After hearing whispers that ceramist Eny Lee Parker curated a new gallery show in New York, I immediately scribbled it in at the top of my calendar. For 18 international artists—from Chen Chen & Kai Williams to A-G Studio—the given prompt was one word: sexy. From figuratively salacious to more abstract, cheeky elements, viewers can expect stimulation through various forms. I’ll have my eye out for a few artists in particular, including Nicholas Devlin and Otherside Objects (as seen above). This show runs through October 7 at Objective Gallery in SoHo. Bring on the Bloom: Brook Perdigon’s Impressions Collection

I’ve always had a thing for romantic floral patterns, so when I came across Brook Perdigon’s new Irish linen collection, Impressions, I couldn’t help but imagine upholstering an entire sofa in its Tropics print fabric (although Los Angeles vintage shop Den may have beat me to it). I don’t think I could ever grow tired of these playful schemes, bold as they may be. Daniela Miranda, style intern
