It’s not often that you see a piece of decor and think to yourself, Wow, I sure would like to squeeze that. But that’s exactly how we felt when we saw New York design shop Coming Soon’s new vases.

Reproductions of designs by Italian architect Gaetano Pesce (known for his whimsical, often kooky furniture), these vases might appear to be glass, but they are actually made of flexible resin—hence the squish appeal. Each one is handcrafted in Italy in an array of eclectic colors, from Kermit green to Chester the Cheetah orange. Sure, the wildly whimsical pieces work as traditional vases—just think how cool the vessels would look filled with a bouquet of ranunculus or even a bunch of bunny tails—but they’re pretty darn striking on their own.

Either way, with their alien-like quality, they’re guaranteed to be out-of-this-world conversation starters. So just sit back and admire them—and give ’em a good squeeze if you feel so compelled.
