To start, grab some of your favorite fruits in red, white, and blue (we used strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and red currants – but use whatever you love).

Ingredients

: – 3-4 pints of your favorite berries – 2 pints of heavy whipping cream (whipped) – 1 small angel food cake cut into cubes

Wash and cut up some of the bigger pieces of fruit and layer in a large trifle bowl.

Begin layering the fruit with the angel food cake – we opted for red and white stripes on the bottom and a blue layer on top.

Repeat the above until the trifle bowl is full. Top with the whipped cream and garnish with fresh red currants.
