We’re loving this take from Food & Wine, which draws on the nostalgic flavors of fall, all the while utilizing summer’s best tomatoes. Country bread lays out the groundwork for this one, which features a smooth ricotta base that comes topped with roasted tomato-sage and even a hint of garlic.

Tomatoes and pesto were made for one another and this simplified version from The View From Great Island is all the proof we need. Featuring a toasted garlic bread base, the recipe calls for either goat cheese, pesto, or ricotta to serve as the spread, all of which can pair perfectly with the heirloom tomatoes.
