It might be hard to imagine the Duchess of Cambridge pre-royalty, popping into The Botanist for brunch with friends before walking around the nearby Sloane Square neighborhood. But there was a time BC (Before Crown) when Kate Middleton lived in a humble little three-bedroom Chelsea apartment—and now, you can buy that apartment for £1.95 million.

According to The Times, Middleton’s parents are the ones who put the apartment on the market; and all things considered, the price tag is not outrageously expensive (it equates to about $2.44 million) for a home with a serious royal pedigree.

Kate, who lived there with her sister, Pippa, before marrying Prince William in 2011, must have had a thing for neutrals. Almost every room is coated in warm beige. Crown molding and a built-in fireplace make for charming details that further the cozy, homey feel of the surprisingly normal-looking flat.

Following the stairs to the second (and main) floor, the new homeowners will be greeted by an abundance of natural light streaming in through the balcony by the dining room. The kitchen is also on the second floor, and guess what? It looks like we’re not the only fans of checkerboard floors. If they were good enough for the Duchess of Cambridge, they’re good enough for us.

The third floor contains a master bedroom with a spacious ensuite, which offers rooftop views of the surrounding Old Chelsea neighborhood. An additional two bedrooms and a second bathroom round out the top floor.

Unfortunately for the new homeowners, the apartment won’t be furnished, so you’ll only get a small taste of what the Duchess’ style is like through the architectural features of the space. Though if you’re looking to truly follow in her decor footsteps, the good news is that it might be pretty economical: Will and Kate are purportedly massive Ikea fans.
