It’s pistachio green and features one big squiggle: The latest trendy piece to come out of Scandinavia looks nothing like its simple, subdued predecessors. We’re talking about Gustaf Westman’s Curvy Mirror, most recently spotted in the pastel-colored homes of every chic Swedish and Danish creative. With everything going on right now, we could all use a whimsical, joy-inducing addition to our spaces, and Westman’s groovy creation is just that.

In Copenhagen, stylist Trine Kjaer made her lemon-colored mirror the focal point of an otherwise pared-back room, subbing it in for bold paints and graphic prints. And interior stylist Linnéa Salmén used it as an extra layer in her industrial-style home, adding a pop of matte pink to the selection of popcorn tables and bouclé chairs. There’s no wrong way to work with a piece as surprisingly versatile as this.

While a limited-edition item like this isn’t the most realistic purchase for most of us, there are alternatives. DIY a similar wiggly pattern to your existing fixture, or look for some shoppable options that would turn any blank wall into a cheery nook. Here’s where we’d start:
