Ever wish your bedroom could be as breezy and inviting as a sunny Tennessee afternoon? Reese Witherspoon wants to make your dreams come true.

In an ongoing collaboration between Crate and Barrel and Draper James, Witherspoon’s Southern-inspired lifestyle brand, the Nashville-based actress just debuted her first-ever bedding collection for the home furnishings brand, called Willow. Much like Draper James’s existing tabletop collection for Crate and Barrel, Willow draws inspiration from a time-tested color pairing: navy and white.

But don’t let the two-color palette fool you. There’s plenty of pattern to play up here. Here are four bed-making tips to get you started.

Start with a clean base

Crisp white sheets act as a neutral foundation if you want to get busy with prints elsewhere. The charming addition of stitched trim in deep indigo adds intrigue to the bed’s outer edge.

Designate a backdrop with solids

Heavier, saturated hues work best when left in the back against the headboard. This solid-colored linen sham promises a balanced display when smaller accent pillows come into the picture.

Get graphic with the duvet

True to the collection’s name, this rich (and reversible!) design of delicate willow leaves brings movement to the surface. Unlike larger prints, the repetitive nature of this scaled-down print will help disguise any unexpected creases when your bed isn’t as tidy as you’d like.

Top it off with texture

Everyone knows that the throw pillows are the best part of making a bed. This cushy lumbar pillow introduces a new sense of tailoring and texture to the group with its delicately embroidered latticework.
