After years of living in her prewar, West Village abode, A-List actress Cameron Diaz called on design extraordinaire Kelly Wearstler for help transforming the amazing apartment.
Although originally all-white, the duo custom made wall coverings—including the living room’s lush rose-colored De Gournay scheme—to add plenty of the star’s vibrant personality to the space.
In the dining area, Wearstler paired the parchment-and-brass dining table with armchairs covered in fabric of her own design; while a wall of mirrored tiles adds dimension to the room.
In the kitchen, unpolished brass spans the back wall, as well as the counters, sink fixtures, and cabinet trims near dark wood floors that were stained ebony for added depth.
In the master suite, a retro cream mohair chairs draws from the muted tones of silk linen bedding. Additionally, drawers of the room’s furnishings are lined in raw black silk for a luxe look from any angle.
For the master bath, a marble-top vanity —custom-made with parchment—offsets the dramatic feel of glass-tiled walls without compromising the room’s geometric appeal.
