As the weather starts to chill and we begin the process of converting our spaces from the light and airy aesthetics of summer to the cozy and texture-clad one of the cooler months, we can’t help but crave a little change up within our interiors, preferably in the form of a fresh coat of paint. Here, the five unique shades we’re absolutely coveting for the winter.

Bold blues continue to rule, and as we get into the cooler months, what better way to follow suit with the inevitable winter blues? The dynamic finish of these paints challenge the conventional features of the color with saturated undertones that lend a more refined and mature feel to the shade. Layer the paint with furnishings that come in vibrantly contrasting tones and with lustrous metallics in the form of copper or brass.

Beiges and creams may often get a bad rep, but these revamped shades will seriously have you reconsidering them. Featuring light pink undertones and smoky accents, 2017’s new neutrals embody the imperfectly perfect with a clean cut finish. Pair the look with furnishings and decorative accents that come in a natural material, such as cotton or linen, to further emphasize the aesthetic.

We’re graduating from the classic pinks and dusty roses to the peachy hues that embody warmth with a sun-kissed finish. Coupled with an array of saturated shades, the complementary nature of these colors make for effortlessly easy pairings. Utilize bright greens to establish a well-balanced contrast, and incorporate in plenty of textures to mirror the coziness of the tones.

While the shades of gray we’ve seen throughout this year seemed to err towards a darker finish, this winter we’re vying after the dominating stone grays that emulate a pewter-inspired effect. Paired with dusty blush hues and a monochromatic aesthetic, it will instill a timelessly elegant element to your space.
