For 40 of the 82 years that IKEA’s been around, the Stockholm collection has existed. The assortment has always prioritized an extra level of craftsmanship and attention to detail deeply rooted in Scandinavian design, like in walnut veneer bar cabinets and handwoven wool rugs. This year’s launch is no exception. The Stockholm collection just got an entirely new wave of products—96 to be exact. There are luxe-looking sofas, mouth-blown glass accessories, chic shelving that doesn’t require back panels, the company’s first use of bouclé, and so much more.

“I hope the pieces in this collection become ‘forever furniture’,” says Karin Gustavsson, the creative leader of the 2025 Stockholm collection. She called on seasoned IKEA designers Paulin Machado, Ola Wihlborg, and Nike Karlsson to help dream up fresh products for the drop. Machado, who specializes in textiles, took inspiration from the Swedish forest, showcasing birch trees in some of her rug designs and adorning lampshades with images of leaves and mushrooms. Karlsson crafted a tubular glass chandelier that’s easy to assemble and sourced high-quality pine for future heirlooms like a bench and round side table.

Wihlborg championed one of the stars of the collection, the chunky modular sofa. You can buy two pieces for a loveseat arrangement or go extra-long with it. No matter what you decide, it’s meant to maintain its puffy shape over the years thanks to supportive pocket springs and high-resilience foam. The cherry on top? It comes in three shades of velvet: funky turquoise, sumptuous brown, and golden-tinged beige.
