Since Bemz landed on the interiors scene more than 20 years ago, the Stockholm-based company has regularly introduced chic, slip-on covers for IKEA’s sofas. There’s a reason the brand has become a darling of the decor business. While IKEA has mastered the art of budget furniture, that mass appeal means upholstery options that skew extremely neutral and middle-of-the-road. When hiring someone to permanently recover your couch isn’t in the cards, or you’re not interested in investing that much when it comes to a $850 Uppland sofa, the slipcover options on the market are disappointing—except when it comes to Bemz.
The print pros are regularly launching a slew of new covers—for sofas, chairs, beds, and more—that speak to the maximalists and cottagecore-obsessed among us; there are also options for eco-conscious consumers and linen lovers. Most recently it dropped The Reverie Collection, a collaboration with interior designer Francesca Grace, which includes exclusive mohair velvet, cotton velvet, linen, and chenille jacquards in botanical and European-inspired motifs. We’re crushing hard on the palette of mossy greens, dusty pinks, and earthy neutrals. Here are our favorite styles—new and old—up for grabs right now.
Stockholm 2-Seat Sofa Cover
We love the muted pink hues of the stylized landscape in the Vintage Forest pattern. Paired with a more modern sofa silhouette makes for a dreamy combination.
Sakarias Chair with Armrests Cover
Dress up your dining chairs in a silky-smooth chenille jacquard, which will give your space a feeling of romance.
Söderhamn 4-Seat Section Cover
The exclusive mohair velvet in the pink Vintage Leaves print showcases the inspiration Francesca Grace had—drifting through a market in Paris—when dreaming up the collection. Cozy luxury meets IKEA? Yes, please.
Ramnefjäll Bed Bed Frame Cover
The Into The Woods print adorns recycled cotton and is like soft wallpaper for your bed. You can splash it on any number of IKEA pieces, but applying it to the Ramnefjäll will add a serious cool factor to your sleeping situation.
Hyltarp 3-Seater Sofa with Chaise Cover
We’re fans of the corduroy finish that IKEA gave its Jattebo modular sofa (and so is Jeremiah Brent), but it isn’t available across the entire furniture mix. Enter: the Palm Green cover from Bemz. Why not pop it onto your Hyltarp 3-seater for the same effect?
Söderhamn Chair Cover
If you dressed it up in this striped recycled linen and cotton slipcover, would anyone know this chair is from IKEA? We doubt it.
Wadded Universal Headboard Cover
This dusty lavender headboard cover is made from 100% recycled polyester and it would look so good in the same room as that new Into the Woods print. What’s even better about this cover is that it works for any headboard out there with the same measurements and there are five different sizes to choose from.
Tullsta Armchair Cover
If you’re going for the vibe of a Costwolds cottage, pick up the Tullsta armchair and then drop a terracotta check linen slipcover on top.
Kivik Footstool Cover
We love the Swedish folk textile look of this linen blend cover, especially when applied to the Kivik ottoman. The design was created in the ’20s by painter Oskar Bergman.
Duvholmen Outdoor Seat Cushion Cover
These chartreuse boucle seat cushion covers, made for the Duvholmen style, check every box and then some: they’re UV resistent, anti-bacterial, and water repellant.
Uppland Sofa Cover
There are several solid linen-blend covers for the classic Uppland profile, including recycled options. We’re quite drawn to this vintage blue option, which could read elegantly classic or contemporary in the right context. If you’re more of an Ektorp devotee (RIP), the brand has you covered there, too.
