We try not to get wrapped up in the promotional buzz around shopping “holidays.” Yet we can’t help but be tempted with scoring a good deal on good design when the opportunity presents itself. Wayfair’s Way Day sale is such an occasion, especially when the annual 48-hour event gets extended. Today, April 28, is your last chance to take advantage of 80% off the furniture e-tailer’s select stock—much of which, surprisingly, includes editor-favorite brands from the likes of Kartell lamps to Sunbrella bolsters to Laguiole steak knives. (Psst: If you’re looking for Way Day products featured in real-life home tours, head right this way.) But we also found plenty of cart-worthy steals beyond preferred labels, too, including outdoor sectional sets, very chic affordable glassware, and stylish rattan seating. Below, check out what we consider to be the very best of Wayfair’s Way Day sale in 2023—starting with the highest percentage discounts—while you still can.
Our shopping team was collectively shook to spot Kartell included in the sea of Way Day deals. This teeny table lamp, designed by Ferruccio Laviani, sports internal pleating that “provides the perfect amount of light.” And it’s currently priced as an absolute steal for the Italian designer.
One of our all-time favorite bar carts, we were delighted to discover Novogratz’s versatile, indoor-outdoor server in persimmon currently priced for less than $100 during the Way Day sale. This durable steel piece is finished in a weather-resistant coat that can cart up to 150 pounds’ worth of goods, making it a great fit for kitchen pantry overflow or poolside storage.
We’re always on the lookout for cool cocktail glasses, and this crystal set of six checks all the boxes: A weighty, stable stem; durable glass; dishwasher-safe; and the perfect size to serve up everything from martinis to ice cream sundaes.
Need a goes-with-anything anchor for your backyard space? This taupe-y stripe is woven together with polypropylene, so you won’t have to worry about fading, mold, and mildew or it unraveling after a thorough cleaning session. That’s why it’s one of our favorite outdoor rugs.
“Lightweight but very sturdy.” We’re just as obsessed as Wayfair shoppers with these woven stools. Reviews confirm they are incredibly comfortable, despite being backless, and look more expensive in person.
This handmade jute and sisal rug is an elevated upgrade on the natural fiber. The subtle geometric pattern gives the neutral, simple material a more traditional vibe that’s still destined to pair well with anything in the room you unroll it in.
Using Kubu rattan, this armchair’s naturally gray undertones will give whatever room you place it in a coastal edge. It ships with a reversible cream cushion that you can keep as is—or add a decorative pillow for extra support and a bit of personal flair.
Pamper your pet with this stylish napping spot outfitted with a heavy-duty striped denier fabric that shoppers say repels fur, stands up to sharp nails, and is both UV- and water resistant. Did we mention it’s also machine washable? Just unzip the cover and toss it on top of your laundry pile.
“Matte black hardware is always chic, and for $62, why not swap this contemporary faucet into your rental?” poses our style editor, Julia Stevens. Shoppers confirm this ships with easy instructions, and most installed it in 20 minutes flat.
It’s always a welcome sight to see a cheerful gingham tablecloth on sale. This 100% cotton take on the classic pattern is said to be wrinkle resistant, and it comes in three different sizes. If you prefer a different color, there’s black, red, and gray to choose from, too.
Sit back, relax, and kick your feet up on this “cute, compact, and colorful” ottoman. We love that its solid wood frame (upholstered in an antimicrobial and stain- and water-resistant polyester) is versatile enough to double as seating when extra guests show up at your door, too.
Chunky, modernist flatware has been occupying our brain space ever since we came across this affordable set (also on sale at Wayfair). But this 20-piece alternative from David Shaw Silverware is a must-buy contender—for even less.
This stackable set is made from scratch-resistant steel enamel durable enough to set your alfresco dining table or tag along on camping trips. The classic painterly design is just as pretty to use indoors.
Made from solid wood and silpcovered in linen, this pair of dining chairs from Joss & Main is nearly half off. The understated fabric cover is neutral enough to be versatile, but the floor-length skirt adds a touch of drama.
A rainbow of French steak knives for barbecues and dinner parties? Our editors say oui. Each one in this eight-piece set features a stainless steel, serrated blade that’s 1.88-mm thick, held in place by a curvy, three-rivet handle in traditional Laguiole style.
Add nostalgia to your cupboards with these vintagelike amber glasses. The stackable design and short bodega style will free up space. Since these come from Lenox—a brand known for making glassware for 100-plus years—we’re confident this is a high-quality find.
Save nearly $400 on these distressed metal and marble nesting tables during Wayfair’s Way Day sale. Described as “beautiful,” “sturdy,” and “elegant” by reviewers, this pair has an heirloom-level of quality another shopper confirms you can keep around long enough to pass onto the next generation.
This twistable storage bin is made from plastic-coated wire that is totally flexible. Use it to store recycling or more easily corral your kiddo’s growing collection of toys.
Nesting tables are the ultimate small-space hack, and so is clear furniture. This slim acrylic trio won’t soak up square footage or visual space, and at just 10 pounds altogether, is lightweight enough to shuffle about any room. “Just plain good-looking and functional,” one shopper writes. “We separate them to entertain large groups of people…helpful for small plates and drinks,” another adds.
We can’t get enough mini table lamps, and this small ceramic sweetie fits the bill. Its globe-shaped base and simple shade are quite versatile, and the all-black version could run goth-cool or neatly neutral.
Our editors are suckers for a good wicker lampshade. We love that this woven wonder features a dimmable bulb and two pull chains; the details give it the just-right amount of a vintage vibe, while functionality-wise will allow you to control how strong of a warm glow it gives off.
“I was nervous to buy such a major piece of furniture without seeing or testing, but this couch is a dream!” one shopper writes of this slipcovered sectional giving cottagecore chic. Multiple reviews echo being blown away by the quality design, pillowy comfort (“Doesn’t even need breaking in!”), and sturdy frame. Now’s the time to take a chance: It’s $1,000 off its original asking price.
Made from metal that could easily be mistaken for hand-forged iron, this pedestal can nestle into a tight corner to keep beverages and books nearby or show off your new plant. It also caught our eye for ease of assembly—it ships in three parts, which you simply screw together.
Vintage IKEA vibes without the Etsy hunt (or having to pay double). This adjustable task lamp operates by a dimmer switch and has a counterweight that keeps the metal head balanced—no toppling over in the middle of a Zoom call. And while all seven of the color choices are on sale, our editors are partial to the Dijon yellow.
Domino’s deputy photo editor, Andie Diemer, was in the market for an outdoor sofa last year, and she swears that this Luthersville set is a winner. The low coffee table is spacious, and adding a few sets of throw pillows turned it into a lounging haven for her and her friends. Hurry, this is a flash deal that ends in 13 hours!
You can’t go wrong with a cabana stripe, and it’s no secret that beanbag chairs (and all blob-shaped furniture) are having a moment, especially if you’re looking for kid-friendly seating. The weatherproof Sunbrella cover can be tossed in the wash, so we think it’s fair to say most parents would be eager to get their hands on this low-maintenance lounge.
Fresh flowers are a no-fail way to add joy to your space, and pairing a bouquet with Vietri’s Italian-made wares is even better. We love the rippled glass edge of this sculptural silhouette, which would be as beautiful on a shelf with nothing in it.
Sunbrella-covered pillows are a surefire way to add an extra bit of cushion outdoors, and they withstand everything from summer showers to heat waves. But tapping the durable fabric is usually an investment—which is why we’d scoop up this simple blue and white bolster set now while it’s less than $100.
Pull up a pop of red to the dining table with this ladder-back chair. We love not only that it’s crafted in the U.S. from solid ash and painted in a semigloss coat of scarlet, but that the woven seat brings home a cottagey feel. There are 20-plus colors to choose from, but if one isn’t suiting your fancy, previous shoppers have successfully DIYed the unfinished option to their liking.
We couldn’t believe that we not only found this Minneapolis-based furniture maker available at Wayfair, but also its sleek side table—on sale. A designer go-to, every one of Blu Dot‘s powder-coated metal cutie’s eight colors is just $300 for Way Day.
The detachable wood handle on this iron casserole, inspired by ancient Finnish folklore, is iconic (and one of our favorite cooking tools). “Beautiful, easy to handle, not too heavy. Love it,” one reviewer writes. Another adds, “I have had it for a while and still receive compliments on its design…truly a functional work of art.”
Two petite, portable table lamps come in this pack from Fatboy—we love that they illuminate head-to-toe, come with a battery and charger, and are designed to be used indoors or out. Scatter them across a long dining table at dusk, plop one on the porch while you read, or use one as a nightlight for guests.
It would be an understatement to say that bouclé-covered swivel chairs have been the moment. Wayfair’s iteration of the retro-mod style comes in a few additional color choices—a stormy gray, warm taupe, and forest green, for instance—but reviewers were most thrilled to discover after purchasing this trend that it’s incredibly comfortable in addition to being a fabulous dupe of Gwyneth Paltrow’s chair.
Reviewers were surprised by how comfortable these teak barstools are. Then when not in use, simply fold them up and grab the built-in handle to easily stow away, freeing up space on your deck or patio.
Cottagecore, but make it subtle. This sweetly scalloped bed skirt is made from cotton, is machine washable (and tumble-dry appropriate), and adds just enough of a tailored edge.
