Although we try not to get too wrapped up in the promotional buzz surrounding shopping “holidays,” we can’t help feeling tempted to score a good deal on good design. Wayfair’s Way Day sale is such an occasion. Returning for its second 2023 run on October 25 and 26, the massive homewares e-tailer is offering up to 80% off its already discounted stock. This includes the editor-favorite likes of sleek Alessi kitchenware, French Laguiole cheese knives, and Amber Lewis’s latest collaboration with Loloi. We also encountered a bundle of cart-worthy markdowns on chic tabletop staples (affordable glassware, taper candles, and the like) plus surprisingly stylish furniture (rattan barrel chairs, marble nesting tables). Below, check out what we consider to be the very best of Wayfair’s Way Day sale—the sequel—organized by the highest percentage discounts.

This curved barrel chair is constructed of durable bamboo ropes, giving it a handmade, delicate quality that shoppers say is “cute and sturdy.” One interior designer rated it a solid 5 stars, and others noted it shipped quickly and arrived without any issues. Similar to the kid-size version we first spotted in celebrity fashion stylist Dani Michelle’s circa-1950s home, we can confirm this one is big enough for an adult to sit on comfortably.
Need a goes-with-anything anchor for your backyard space? This taupe-y stripe is woven together with polypropylene, so you won’t have to worry about fading, mildew, or unraveling after a thorough cleaning session. That’s why it’s one of our favorite outdoor rugs.
Shoppers are absolutely smitten with this towering iron candlestick. The 32-inch-tall stand is supported by a broad three-leg base that helps keep it stable so tapers or pillars won’t topple over. Multiple reviewers agree these are not only “very well made” and of “excellent quality,” but perfect for placing in a small corner of the room, near a fireplace, or even on a tabletop for added drama.
We’ve seen a few rattan table lamps out there fetching a far higher price, but this petite piece is just as pretty and only $64 during Way Day. “Absolutely love this lamp. It’s so charming and looks amazing on my kitchen counter. The shade is evenly woven and high quality,” one reviewer writes. Another adds, “It’s a timeless classic.” Shoppers have tapped it for use inside a nursery, living room, and kitchen.
Hand-braided and heavy-duty, this 100% jute table runner has been praised by plenty of reviewers for its ample 80-inch length and “better than expected” quality. Layer it into your Thanksgiving tablescape for added texture and warmth.
A sitewide sale is always a good excuse to stock up on tapers—especially ahead of the holiday hosting season. Of all the deals on candles we’ve come across, this set of four looks like the best deal on Wayfair. They’re offered in a subtle pleat, chalky texture, and olive hue that we see transitioning smoothly from autumn to winter. Reviewers confirm that they sit nicely in candleholders and burn evenly.
Handmade in England, this stoneware serving bowl in a ribbed texture can serve as decor or for dishing out salads, pasta, and sides since it’s dishwasher-, oven-, and microwave-safe. “This is a beautiful rich blue that looks fantastic on our table,” one reviewer writes. “The Denby Studio blue dishes are the perfect balance between beauty and durability. I love using them.”
Everyone needs a foundational platter, no? If your kitchen cabinets are lacking one, we’d jump on this award-winning porcelain number from the Sophie Conran Portmeirion collection. It hails from England and is big enough for turkey trimmings come November.
“Great-quality blanket made of natural materials that are warm and soft,” one reviewer writes of this cashmere throw. “Very luxurious-looking.” Our take: Snuggle up with it on your own sofa or save it as a gift.
“Love how these look! Sturdy, bright, and beautiful. They are perfect for my dining room hutch,” one shopper writes. Another describes the pair as “dramatic and beautiful.” Sourced from an editor-trusted budget brand, these tabletop must-haves are substantial in size and quality, so we’re deeming them a no-brainer buy.
We were surprised to discover this delightful bobbin-style mirror sporting a rare 5-out-of-5-star rating. Reviewers call the matte-black-finished iron frame high quality, heavy, and much more expensive-looking than the price would otherwise suggest.
This raw-finished aluminum ice bucket measures over a foot tall and nearly 2 feet in width—a size one reviewer describes as “gorgeous—much bigger than expected!”
Save nearly $400 on these distressed metal and marble nesting tables during Wayfair’s Way Day sale. Described as “beautiful,” “sturdy,” and “elegant” by reviewers, this pair has an heirloom quality that another shopper confirms you can keep around long enough to pass on to the next generation.
For more sculptural, statement-making tapers, we recommend scooping up a pair of these unscented candles while they’re marked down to just $14.
Another sworn-by favorite of our shopping director, who not only purchased Design Dua’s woven pet bed for her own pup but also for a best friend as a birthday present. Buxton plugs the stylish piece as a beautifully made compliment magnet that guests and (most important) her dog, Arlo, adore. Each basket is woven from all-natural elephant grass using traditional Ghanaian craft techniques and comes fitted with a cozy cushion featuring a removable sherpalike cover.
It’s always a welcome sight to see a cheerful gingham tablecloth on sale. This 100% cotton option from August Grove is said to be wrinkle-resistant and comes in three different sizes. We’re partial to the green, but the beige, black, and blue are also discounted.
Another Portmeirion fave: This cabbage-shaped serving bowl is so good that one buyer bought another. And in addition to the on-trend food-inspired shape and color, it’s totally dishwasher-safe.
Another 5-star-worthy score from an American heritage brand. This six-arm chandelier caught our eye for more than one reason, starting with its elegant wagon-wheel frame featuring an antique-brass finish and hand-stitched leather details and ending with a bevy of glowing reviewer praise. “Absolutely the best and prettiest chandelier I’ve purchased!” one shopper writes. Another attests, “Stunning light fixture. More beautiful in person.” And finally, the kicker feedback: “Outclassed what we saw in local lighting showrooms. Solid quality, brings up the level of the great room where we installed the Katie. An upgrade, not just a light fixture.”
Our shopping director, Liz Buxton, loved this stackable carafe set so much that she had to buy it for herself—sans reviews. Buxton confirms it lives up to the Lenox glassware hype, proclaiming it the perfect balance of delicate yet substantial glass that’s a boon for both solo wine sipping and a personal iced-coffee decanter for her desk.
We’re always down to highlight a good Dyson deal, and the V8 (now $170 off during Way Day) has been a longtime favorite of editors and readers alike for its ability to remove hidden dust and pet fur with ease.
We couldn’t pass up this wavy rattan wall mirror, the creative catalyst of a collaboration between Erin Gates and Cooper Classics. “This mirror is really heavy, it’s a good size and very versatile,” a reviewer writes. “I was a little concerned that it would not arrive in good condition because of the size and being fragile. But it was perfectly packaged and it arrived intact”
Nesting tables are the ultimate small-space hack, and so is clear furniture. This slim acrylic trio won’t soak up square footage or visual space, and at just 10 pounds altogether, is lightweight enough to shuffle about any room. “Just plain good-looking and functional,” one shopper writes. “We separate them to entertain large groups of people…helpful for small plates and drinks,” another adds.
With a decent chunk of French Home’s stock on sale during Way Day, it’s hard to pick just one deal to highlight. If we had to choose, it’d be this seven-piece set of stylish servers held together by elegant three-rivet handles. Runners-up include cheese spreaders accompanied by an olive-wood cutting board and green-handle steak knives.
This set of melamine plates from Thomas Paul has us thinking…should horsecore be the next big interior trend? The marbleized design would definitely make the cut. Stackable, chip resistant, and dishwasher-safe—we’re also eyeing the matching discounted platter for the same features.
Munich-born architect Richard Sapper is behind the handsome design of this six-cup brewer. Crafted from sleek stainless steel with a brown-capped handle, the gadget features an enlarged base that maximizes heat, an anti-drip spout, and a lever lock that allows a single-handed operation of the pot.
Not one, but two chic console tables? Don’t mind if we do. You have your choice between a black finished walnut metal and glass frame or a more organic, natural oak number with legs that can be installed inside or out. Shoppers of both are equally impressed by the brand’s sturdy offerings and easy assembly.
Another great gift alert: This one-of-a-kind handwoven carrier is perfect for toting a bottle of vino or a bouquet of flowers. They can keep it for reuse after.
We can’t get enough mini table lamps, and this small ceramic sweetie fits the bill. Its globe-shaped base and simple shade are quite versatile, and the all-black version could run goth-cool or neatly neutral.
While this solid mango-wood footed bowl is offered in three different finishes, the matte black is our hands-down favorite. It features a rippled exterior that affords its pedestal silhouette a compliment-worthy edge. “Pleased with color and quality,” one reviewer attests.
Two petite portable table lamps come bundled in this Way Day deal from Domino-favorite Fatboy. We love that they illuminate head to toe, come equipped with a battery and charger, and are designed to be used indoors or out. Scatter them across a long dining table at dusk, plop one on the porch while you read, or use one as a nightlight for guests.
