When interior designer Amber Lewis first teamed up with home furnishings brand Four Hands, the masses finally had a way to integrate some of her covetable custom pieces (remember her epic wicker banquette?) into their own spaces. Now the duo has launched a second collection, spanning dining chairs, stools, accent tables, dressers, coffee tables, and so much more. “Everything is something I’ve been wanting to create and pieces we knew designers and homeowners could easily incorporate into homes or mix with existing styles,” says Lewis, noting that this time around, the collection has a more modern feel and nods to tradition in an updated way. “The details are still soft and curved but feature more contemporary lines and rich materials like walnut.”
While Four Hands is focused on wholesale business, you can buy these items directly through Shoppe Amber Interiors. We spoke with the designer and Four Hands’s vice president of design, Adam Dunn, about the collection and the pieces that top their list.
Tova Dining Chair
This beauty—with its eye-catching woven-paper-cord backrest, oak frame, and linen cushion—is one of Lewis’s favorites from the collection. “It works with so many styles, plus the mix of materials is so captivating,” she says.
Sumba Pedestals
Papier-mâché just grew up. These low display surfaces are perfect for tiny trinkets. “You can really add any small accent,” says Lewis. “Incense, candles, vintage books, and small catchalls are all items that I’ve styled on these tables.”
Maha Accent Stool
This two-tiered perch is a refreshing take on “nesting” furniture. The look leans antique, and that’s probably because it’s made of reclaimed wood. Use it as a side table for housing snacks for your movie marathon, or corral all your favorite candles for some dramatic mood lighting.
Augusta Coffee Table
“An instant classic,” according to Dunn, this is one of the more contemporary pieces in the collection, with cast-iron legs anchoring two tray-style tabletops. It’s an expansive canvas for showing off your favorite coffee-table books.
Leyla Bed
“I love the juxtaposition of the black iron frame with the soft, upholstered headboard,” says Lewis. “It’s such a beautiful, timeless piece.” Another linen-covered staple in the collection? The Aurelia dining banquette.
Autumn Meadow
The artwork in the collection is superspecial to Lewis: A number of the paintings are by Lori Marie, her mother. The designer also tapped her photographer friend Shade Degges and artist Chelsea Fly for pieces this time around, making the drop extra-personal.
