Jamie Chung’s favorite holiday is Halloween, hands down. She loves it so much that in 2015 she married her husband, singer-songwriter Bryan Greenberg, on October 31 at a “Boos and Booze”–themed bash with a costumes-required welcome dinner. Now with 1-year-old twins and a schnauzer-shih tzu mix in tow, she’s ready to get the whole family in on the fun. As a busy mom with a nonstop schedule, she recently partnered with same-day delivery service Shipt to ensure she has everything from candy (full-size Snickers and big bags of M&M’s make hers the coolest house on the block) to carving supplies delivered to her doorstep within an hour’s time. Here’s what the actor and mom is prepping for this All Hallows’ Eve.

For Shopping Ghoulish Goodies

In addition to a pumpkin decorating party, Chung plans to hollow out gourds and put tapioca inside them to create a brainlike sensory experience for the kids. The grown-ups at this year’s soiree will get an autumnal take on a party fave: pumpkin deviled eggs.

For Getting Decked Out

As much as Chung likes to go all out, she takes pride in being both creative and practical. Last year she used a few rolls of caution tape from Office Depot to creepify her front porch, and this time around she’s going to upcycle worn-out bedsheets to make floating ghosts in the yard. Not to be left out, Ewok, her pup, already has his eponymous Star Wars costume at the ready, which Chung had delivered from Petco.

For Keeping It Classy

When it comes to spooky stylings, Chung is into all the kitschy holiday motifs. “I love cheesy!” she admits. This year the family will be celebrating in New York, where she plans to outfit their front gate and trees with cobwebs and ghosts—but inside, the decor will lean a little more elevated. “I love candles and I also love Hudson Wilder—it has the prettiest table settings,” she shares. From frighteningly chic glassware to speckled serving boards, it’s where she finds the things that really set the mood. Bonus: She can use them year-round. Below are four entertaining staples that aren’t too on the nose.
