It’s not unusual for us to routinely peruse the “new” section on IKEA’s website. It’s the next best thing to wandering the store’s seemingly endless aisles, after all. In our latest virtual stroll, we happily stumbled upon an under-$100 find that we see solving a number of problems, both indoors and out, so we’re calling it: IKEA’s just-released Nämmarö privacy screen is set to be a summer lifesaver.

Unless your closest neighbor lives a football field’s length away, chances are you’re yearning for some sense of privacy while spending time outside this season. Or maybe hiding your neighbor’s ugly vinyl siding is the priority. Either way, this freestanding slatted barrier offers a multitude of possibilities without you having to splurge on a costly tree line. You could use it to block off an outdoor shower, create different hangout zones in a narrow-set yard, or line up a few of these acacia panels in a row to form a makeshift fence.

You can also snag the one with a storage box for when you need to swiftly tuck away cushions or gardening tools. It’s sleek enough that we’d even bring it inside and treat it like any other room divider
