You don’t have to ask Sophie Loghman twice: She loves color. One peek at the blogger’s Instagram, and you’ll fall down a magical rabbit hole of candy-colored houses, rainbow disco balls, and dip-dyed accessories. It’s a sunny aesthetic that Loghman channels not only online but IRL at her newly debuted Airbnb in Atlanta’s Cabbagetown neighborhood.

“The home is not traditional by any means,” she says of the 1920s shotgun house. Loghman and her brother, Saba, renovated the property together and officially opened the doors to guests this past December. “I knew I wanted to create a colored fantasy land, but I didn’t want the home to be overly cluttered and overwhelming. I hope that my guests feel the magic as soon as they walk in.”

Whimsy aside, the old home naturally came with a few quirks. “It’s essentially an oversize loft in a quaint, circa-1920 shell,” shares Loghman. After two and a half months of renovations, Loghman brought the abode back to life with a fresh dose of paint (inside and out), new marble countertops, updated light fixtures, and tiling in the kitchen and bathroom. “Luckily, everything I had to tweak was cosmetic and only to fit my colorful taste,” she adds.

What the 1,100-square-foot house lacks in space, however, it makes up in larger-than-life design. Lemon wallpaper, pink velvet dining chairs, and a fiery orange claw-foot tub are just a few photogenic surprises guests will find inside. Though, if there’s any indication that there’s plenty of fun to had inside, it’s that punchy pink door.

Ahead, Loghman takes Domino inside her dreamy Atlanta dollhouse.

Color is obviously a huge part of who you are. What are some of your favorite color moments in this home?

I got really lucky while vintage shopping one day and scored an amazing Victorian door. I painted it pink and it’s probably my favorite part of the whole home. I feel like I was always destined to have a pink door, and now my dream is a reality. I also made a Dutch door for the kitchen and painted it yellow. [Also], my pink fridge from Big Chill is such a statement piece. It’s one of the first things you see when you walk into the home because of its open concept. It’s whimsical, it’s classic, it’s modern with a hint of vintage, and it’s perfection.

What design styles have influenced you the most?

I have a deep-rooted love for Hollywood Glam but also hold a special place in my heart for mid-century modern pieces. I carefully curated everything from the tile to the brass light fixtures to the furniture pieces to the artwork to (hopefully) gracefully blend a mix of both styles.

We’re dying to know more about that gallery wall of portraits. Is there a special story behind this?

I’ve always been a huge fan of portraits. I remember walking into a Ralph Lauren store when I was younger and seeing a huge staircase filled with antique portraits—a memory that always stuck with me. So I started collecting portraits here and there. Entertaining is always fun, so why not create a space where you’re never alone? No matter if you’re eating dinner at the table by yourself or have five girlfriends with you, you’ll always have a party with the fun folks on the wall.

The lemon-printed wallpaper in the bedroom is such a fun addition. Did it feel risky when you were picking it out?

When I first bought the house, I obsessively stalked Pinterest for dreamy bedroom ideas. I came across Gray Benko, who had the most amazing lemon wallpaper in her child’s bedroom and immediately knew I wanted a fun accent wall for the lofted space. Wallpaper is one of those things that can be a little bit tricky to buy online because you can’t see/nuzzle/touch/view it in person. With that being said, my lemon wallpaper accent wall has made all my bedroom dreams come true.

What was the inspiration behind the bathroom redesign?

I came across the cement tile on Instagram. When renovating the bathroom, I knew I wanted to keep the tub orange to preserve a bit of the home’s history, but I didn’t know what color to do the tile to best fit the space. I saw this perfect shade of blue-and-white tile from Riad and knew it would be the perfect accent color. The fun Aztec design complements the contemporary and mod style of the space.
