If you’re an HGTV enthusiast like us, you know that Joanna Gaines is working mom goals. Between her beautiful farmhouse designs, killer chocolate chip cookie recipe, and several successful decor collabs, is there really anything the woman can’t do? Even while currently pregnant with baby number five, she’s still adding job title after job title to her repertoire. Her latest one? Clothing designer. That’s right: In preparation for the newest little Gaines to arrive, Jo has just launched a children’s clothing line. The line, in partnership with Matilda Jane Clothing, is the designer’s second collab with the iconic kids’ brand.
Debuting June 1, the new summer collection is full of all the whimsical details that Matilda Jane is known for, plus prints prime for mixing and matching and farm-inspired color palettes. After all, no Joanna-approved collection would be complete without a bit of the Gaines’s down-home Southern charm and style. Gaines even said in a press release that the entire collection is inspired by her family’s life on their 40-acre farm in Waco, Texas. “Each piece is a work of art that showcases playful prints and sunset hues that capture the spirit and sweet simplicity of summer on the farm,” said the release. Between the sweet little rompers, dresses, tops, and shorts, play clothes have never been chicer.
In anticipation for the new Gaines baby boy, this collection will feature offerings for boys and men (maybe we’ll even spot Chip wearing a few designs) in addition to items for girls, tweens, women, and babies. So yes, matching family photos are about to become a very real possibility.
Unable to part with her interior design roots, Gaines also designed a few home accessories that will be available along with the clothing. Each pieces is clad in the same fun prints as the rest of the collection, especially focusing on landscapes and florals. Nursery-friendly poufs, storage bins, and even wallpaper make for the perfect playful addition to any room.
Clothing items from the line will range in price from $34 to $148, and will be available exclusively on the Matilda Jane website. Pair the sweet play clothes with Chip and Jo’s sell-out Target summer collection, and you’re basically living the Gaines life. You don’t even need to move down to Waco (though if you do, don’t miss brunch at Magnolia Table).
