If there’s anyone who knows what items can turn a house into a home, it’s Jeremiah Brent. The designer and his husband, Nate Berkus, have created an entire collection of good things for Living Spaces, and at home Brent fills their space with good scents, inspiring coffee-table tomes, and reclaimed tiles. Here are a few of his favorite things.

Heaven Scent

I’ve been placing handfuls of potpourri in small bowls around the house for years to keep things warm and inviting. This one is our signature scent.

So Fresh, So Clean

I have always believed that everything you use at home can and should be beautiful. Displaying pretty soaps is a simple way to do just that in the kitchen.

Set on Stone

One of my favorite things that we’ve done is retiling our floors with a bit of real history. There are incredible reclaimed tiles at 1stdibs and Paris Ceramics.

Inspiration for Days

A coffee-table book is a way for me to display my love for Picasso without spending hundreds of thousands.

A Smooth Sip

Lately I’ve taken to enjoying tequila in the evening.
