January is the unofficial “declutter your life” month. Spurred by New Year’s resolutions and an overall desire to start fresh, this is the month where we look to hit reset. Whether this means picking up a few key organizational tools or tiptoeing into a more minimalist aesthetic, this goal can take many forms. But why end with January? As we near the end of the month, Ikea is giving us a reason to pick up organizational items that will last for years to come. The “Get Organized” event is officially upon us, happening this Saturday, January 19.

If it’s anything like last year’s event, you won’t want to miss it. Between 9:30 a.m and 3 p.m, Ikea stores around the country will be hosting activities—like the “Closet Clutter Be Gone” or “Kitchen Junk Drawer No More” workshops. Because, as the press release points out, “Organization isn’t just about getting rid of stuff—it’s about focusing to make more room for the things that bring you joy.” A cleaner closet may be as simple as reworking its contents and picking up some storage bins.

But beyond the activities, the real reason to go is the sale. For starters, there’s a coupon (good until January 20) that offers $25 off any $150 in-store purchasedownload the coupon and bring it to stores to redeem.

If you’re a member of Ikea Family, you stand to benefit even more. Aside from giveaways and sweepstakes happening throughout the “Get Organized” event, there are specific discounts offered exclusively to Family members… and you can participate in them well past the day-only event.

Until January 27, TV benches, Ingolf Bar Stools, Sockerbit boxes, and select chests of drawers are up to 20 percent off. And don’t miss the food section: Take $5 off any $25 purchase at the supermarket. Time to pick up those pickled herring fillets you’ve been eyeing.

Here are some of the best organizational tools Ikea has, if the event is inspiring you to get your home together.
