For the second year in a row, we sought to celebrate the makers, designers, and innovators, from all walks of life, who continually inspire us with their creative endeavors. It’s these bloggers and self-made designers who push creative boundaries by inviting an approachable take on current trends and inspiring us with the out-of-the-box DIYs that give handmade a whole new meaning.
Manifesting itself in the form of the now annual Design Blog Awards, we gave you, the reader, the chance to tell us about the must-follow creatives who are making great strides in the realm of design. After receiving more than 200 nominations, we pared the list down to a standout group of individuals in eight categories that were then voted on by the public to determine the winners.
We collaborated with the Awards’ sponsor, Tribute Portfolio Hotels, to select the Modern Maverick—an award bestowed to the blogger who best reflects the Tribute guest: an unconventional, colorful individual who relishes in discovering and sharing new experiences.
Ahead, the winners of the Design Blog Awards:
The Best DIY Blog: The House of Wood by Jen Woodhouse.
The Best General Lifestyle Blog: Bright Bazaar by Will Taylor.
The Best International Design Blog: Hygge for Home by Reena Simon.
