Chances are, you’ve heard of Hunter—the renowned British brand, whose iconic rubber rain boots have remained a fashion-forward staple for the better half of the last century. They shot to international fame a few years back when Kate Moss was spotted wearing them at the Glastonbury Festival, and even more so when it was discovered that it also happens to be Kate Middleton’s top choice of boot. And while the brand has never ventured outside of the realm of manufacturing items that fall outside of their domain, their ready-to-launch collaboration with Target is changing all that.
For Target, who has had its fair share of collabs with big name brands and designers alike, this one is just as special: providing an affordable spin on the brand’s offerings. Alasdhair Willis, creative director of Hunter, was keen on utilizing the partnership as an opportunity to work on pieces he otherwise wouldn’t be able to: fashion and home accessories being the more notable items. That said, they didn’t run away from making it a genuine one—allowing Target to integrate their iconic red-frame logo on the pieces and upholding a strict attention to detail and quality.
Read on to see the pieces we’ll be scooping up for all of our outdoor summer needs, available in stores and online this weekend (Saturday, April 14)—and act fast, this one will surely sell out in no time.
