About
Alex Redgrave is an award-winning editor and writer. Previously. she was Executive Editor at Domino and Saveur, where she guided editorial strategy. She currently lives in Nova Scotia.
Experience
Alex found her calling as a writer, editor, and media mogul when she launched Redgrave Opinion from her bedroom at the age of seven. She has since reported on the historic 2008 U.S. elections from Selma, Alabama; collaborated with the Canadian International Development Agency in Burkina Faso; and drove across the U.S. in an electric green RV interviewing notable creatives (from director Richard Linklater to musician/activist Kinky Friedman) for a PBS documentary. Previously the associate editor at monthly travel magazine enRoute—where she pulled off a kitchen swap with Daniel Boulud and shadowed food artist Jennifer Rubell, among other award-winning features—Alex moved to New York after being selected to join the Writers’ Institute at CUNY Graduate Center. In 2016, Alex became executive editor at Domino and helped lead the brand’s print and digital relaunch, including helming the popular Domino Kids vertical. In 2021, she also joined Saveur as executive editor, guiding the beloved title into its new iteration as a digital-first platform.
Education
Alex graduated from Concordia University in Montreal with a double major in Journalism and Western Society & Civilization. She was a Fellow at the Writers’ Institute at CUNY Graduate Center in New York City, studying with senior editors from Harper’s, New Yorker, Condé Nast Traveler, The New York Times, Granta, and more.
