Just because we don’t own a cottage in the English countryside doesn’t mean we won’t stop trying to recreate the look and feel of one at home. Now, thanks to Ruggable, we’re one step closer to achieving our goal. The brand known for its washable rugs and design-forward collaborations (need we remind you of its Good Design Award-winning Goop collection?) teamed up with storied textile house Sanderson, which was founded in the 1860s in London. It has a long history of supplying its fabrics, paint, and wall coverings to the British royal family’s residences, including Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace.
Out today, the assortment consists of 13 designs available in flatwoven and tufted styles starting at $129. In true Sanderson form, a number of the motifs are inspired by English woodland flora and fauna. One looks like a panel of chinoiserie wallpaper; another depicts scenes of various animals within a trellis-like frame. Our favorite pick, the Oxbow, is even simpler, with a squiggly abstract botanical border and a striped center. For good measure, there’s a handful of louder floral motifs in the collection, largely inspired by Palm Beach. Picture: big tropical leaves, soothing ferns, and hefty doses of pink.

While we tend to think of washable rugs as only being great for spaces frequented by kids and pets, we’d make the argument that any of these classic designs would look at home alongside mossy green Shaker cabinets, a cozy stone living room fireplace, or a canopy bed.
