Drew Barrymore Reimagined Her Stand-Mixer (and More Walmart Appliances) Just in Time for Fall

The last time we saw Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz team up, it was in Charlie’s Angels. Twenty years later, they’re at it again, but instead of fighting crime they’re out to defeat ugly appliances. Their secret weapon? The color red—specifically dark red. The celebrity best friends announced today that they are launching limited-edition collections for their brands Beautiful by Drew (Barrymore’s line of kitchenware for Walmart) and Avaline (Diaz’s wine label), and the former includes a Merlot-colored stand mixer, air fryer, and electric kettle.
While Barrymore has dropped fresh hues for her collection in the past (this spring, she released a cool cornflower blue colorway), this revamp couldn’t have come at a better time. We’ve been seeing this burgundy shade everywhere lately, from church-turned-hotel Peter & Paul to Harry Styles’s “Late Night Talking” music video. Most recently, we witnessed design-savvy Dane Céline Hallas use it on her kitchen cabinets, but if that feels like too big a commitment for you, then Barrymore’s oxblood tools are the perfect compromise: You can leave them out on the countertop when you’re craving a fiery touch or hide them in the pantry or appliance garage when you want to streamline your space’s palette.
Also in the mix? A matching heart-shaped Dutch oven and two tumbler cups, which we’re guessing were designed to take your Avaline vino on the go. Diaz’s drop consists of a six-bottle gift set, and each one (including a Merlot, of course) is inspired by the “glow of a cozy night by the fire.” Now you can replicate that feel-good moment while you’re cooking crispy chicken wings or brewing a cup of tea.
