This is “In Our Carts,” a monthly series in which I’ll round up my and other editors’ favorite product launches. They’re taken straight from our #editors-picks Slack channel, where our team drops the many press releases that fill our inboxes. I sort through them for the best of the best. That way, you can read just about the good stuff—nothing more and nothing less.
Sophie Lou Jacobsen Gave Us a New Staple Glass
The designer behind glass beauties like the Good Design Award–winning Coco cups, Piano cocktail glasses, and Petal plates has done it again. This time, in the form of Le Verre drinking glasses. They’re like the upgrade to those Duralex juice glasses you never knew you needed until now.
Lulu and Georgia Tapped Disc Interiors for a Bedroom Collection
Interior designers Krista Schrock and David John Dick make up Disc Interiors, and their style walks the line between historical and contemporary—lots of texture and materiality, earthy colors, and chic lighting. Their latest collaboration with Lulu and Georgia channels it all into case goods, furniture, and decor for the bedroom. Peep the cozy chaise and lamps with linen shades for some eye candy.
Buffy Brought Linen Sheets to Market
Do we all need more linen sheets? When they come in rare colors like cool lavender and cheery yellow, and at this price, from a brand we already love, we say “yes.” Buffy made its set with Belgian and French flax linen at 155 grams per square meter (GSM), which is on the lighter side—a boon for the hot sleepers out there.
Danny Kaplan Studio Introduced New Sconces
We love a little trompe l’oeil when it comes to lighting, and Danny Kaplan Studio’s latest scratches that itch. The Facet collection includes three sconces in brass and stainless steel that trick the eye in some way or another. The Optical sconce, for example, presents like a floating cube when lit up.
So Many New Candles Dropped
We couldn’t pick just one of the numerous wintry candle releases from the past month, so we decided to tell you about all our favorite new scents. Vacation released Royal Pine Deluxe in a deep green vessel with a backstory dating to the 1980s. French-made San Soli’s Dark Cyprus incorporates a bit more citrus into the mix; it burns for 50 hours. Le Labo introduced its Cyprès 21 scent, a floral take on woodsy vibes. And florist Fernando Kabigting of FDK Florals dreamed up a Scotch Pine candle with artist John Wells that incorporates eucalyptus, available in a sleek aluminum vessel.
Art of the Entry Debuted Cottagecore Exterior Products
Charleston, South Carolina–based Art of the Entry is new on the exterior scene, and we appreciate the focus on house numbers, door knockers, and mailboxes. The product mix is tight right now, but we’re feeling all the cottagecore vibes. And the braided jute doormats look like you made our favorite Matilda Goad tumblers into entryway decor.
Sixpenny Launched a New Sofa
A skirt with pleats is nothing new in the sofa world, but supersize them? That’s novel. The newest couch from Sixpenny does just that, and it comes in nearly 40 colors across eight fabrics, so customize to your heart’s content. Plus there’s a chaise and a chair in the collection.
Quarters Opened Its Online Store
Quarters is our favorite new haunt in New York—it’s In Common With’s concept store and gathering space that encompasses a showroom, shop, bar, and restaurant all wrapped up in one. In October, it quietly launched its online store, which means you can shop the elite product curation from anywhere. The mix of price points is perfect for gifting season. Think: the most adorable $10 bottle opener and tons of pantry items to a French bubble glass vase and the Good Design Award–winning Dune table lamp.
John Derian Collaborated With Target on a Holiday Line
Maybe you didn’t know you needed tapers that looked like asparagus stalks, a pillow shaped like a chicken, or feathered stoneware plates. Well, now you do. John Derian’s holiday collaboration with Target sold through stock quickly, but there are still nearly 40 products to choose from, including an artichoke candle that is calling our name.
Lalo Created a Kids’ Playtime Kitchen and Workbench
Lalo, the design-forward children’s brand, just debuted a few products including a workbench and kitchen. Besides looking pretty cute in a bedroom or play area, they’re also quick to set up and useful for fine motor skill development. They encourage group play, too. This isn’t your Easy Bake Oven, that’s for sure.
