A panic always sets in when fall home collections start dropping—don’t take these precious last weeks of summer away from me! I have zero intention of swapping my terrycloth and sun-drenched hues for chunky knits and plaids anytime soon. So what a relief when I saw Anthropologie Home’s fall launch, ready to shop online today. Hello, cheery yellow spindle-style armchair; candy-like, mouthblown glass chandeliers; and stools shaped like flowers. Lightbulb moment: Autumn doesn’t have to equal dark and moody. In fact, bright bursts of color and pattern (the brand’s fabric of the season is a tranquil pond motif) only serve to highlight fall’s requisite heavier textures.

Speaking of which, even the coziest pieces have a mood-boosting element, like a velvet sofa in a peachy-pink hue or faux fur blanket in a squiggly floral print. Especially when the sun starts setting in the five o’clock hour, I love the idea of indoors being forever in bloom—on your sectional, a table lamp, or even a dining hutch. As an added bonus, Anthropologie Home extended its collaboration with Merve Kahraman. The designer’s gift for infusing everyday pieces with joy is on full display; I’m partial to the giant ottoman

And I’d be remiss not to mention a surprise find during my browse that is wonderfully season-less: a streamlined version of Anthropologie Home’s viral floor mirror. Suddenly, fall’s arrival doesn’t seem so bad.
