I didn’t know that something as mundane as a pizza cutter could spark so much joy. But here I am, sending everyone I know the link to this nifty handle-less kitchen tool by Swiss brand Zyliss. (For the record, all of my friends reacted just as enthusiastically as I did.) Even if I hadn’t spotted it in Crate & Barrel’s sale section, marked down to just $13, I would spend the original $18. To start, it’s an ideal, easy gift because who doesn’t love pizza? And it’s pretty much guaranteed to be cuter than whatever clunky black tool they already own. Not to mention, Valentine’s Day is coming up and it happens to be bright red.

Zyliss ® Handheld Pizza Cutter, Crate & Barrel

$18 $13

Unlike typical pizza cutters, this design includes an ergonomic plastic handle covering half the blade. You won’t need to worry about food getting stuck inside, as the sharp part can be removed when you need to toss it in the dishwasher. Reviewers are on board, giving it 4.3 stars, with one customer claiming “it’s by far the best pizza cutter I have ever owned.” Others describe it as “comfortable in your hand” and “sharp and effective”—all the things you like to hear when you want to seamlessly cut up some slices.

If you know someone whose love language is cooking, do your Valentine’s Day shopping in the kitchen aisle this year.
