We love tile for adding texture and color to bathroom—that should come as no surprise to anyone. But a recent launch from Fireclay Tile has us excited to introduce the material in a new way. As part of its larger Fireclay Bath collection, the brand introduced 16 glazed ceramic knobs in all different shades. If you’re already known to cover every possible space with a fun tile, this is the way to take your passion to the next level.

In addition to the knobs (which are all made in America), there are also nine spout designs, 10 handle styles, and 16 metallic finishes. “Most fixtures stick to a narrow palette of metal finishes, so we really leaned into developing a richer and more customizable offering,” says Jamie Chappell, vice president of brand and marketing at Fireclay.

They began by mimicking a traditional metal handle—that design became Groove. From there, they wanted to create something that felt uniquely Fireclay, “something that celebrated the imperfect beauty of hand-thrown clay,” she says. That’s where Pebble came into the picture. “Its organic form was inspired by a wheel-thrown prototype, designed to rest naturally in the palm of your hand. It’s as much about feel as it is about form,” suggests Chappell.

These are an investment, given they are relatively custom, so expect to pay at least $600 per knob. While the price tag may feel high, these small touches have the power to completely change a room. Introducing one of these in a builder-grade, subway tile-covered bathroom is a sure way to elevate the entire vibe. Another fun way to help them stand out is to place them against a tile of the same tone—bonus points if they’re two different textures. Tiny details like this help make a space feel like it was carefully curated by a professional designer.
