If Kate Moss taught the world anything, it’s that you can do a lot with a little. After all, the long-celebrated model is famous for her elevated yet approachable beauty. And as it turns out, that same philosophy applies to her recently renovated bathroom. Set inside her central London townhouse, Moss partnered with designer Katie Grove to reimagine the primary suite’s previously dark, paneled bathroom as an airy sanctuary. This goal was accomplished with one enveloping material: Rosa Portogallo pink marble.

“Kate had it in mind for a while to have a pink bathroom. We narrowed the choices down to three shades of Rosa Portugalo and opted for the palest after seeing the slabs at the yard,” Groves said in a statement. It was installed as full slabs surrounding the shower and the roll-top Drummonds tub (“I love that a friend can perch on the edge of the bath,” adds the designer), as well as around robust curves to match those swooping across the vanity.

The same blush stone was used on the floors in a bordered scallop tile and even in a columned alcove for the sink. In true Moss fashion, the look is minimalist but impactful.

Moss and Grove were inspired by Villa Necchi Campiglio in Milan throughout the renovation and aimed to channel 1920s and ’30s glamour with other details. They chose Drummond’s unlacquered brass fixtures throughout, like the Mull Wall-Mounted Bath and Shower Mixer and the Thermostatic Shower Valve, which is another one-and-done selection that’ll patina nicely over time.

Moss picked a solitary sink centered on the vanity for more counter space (a morning and night routine win), and then partially enclosed it to make it feel even more intentional. The cherry on top? All the walls, cupboards, and the ceiling are plastered in a coordinating blush shade, ensuring that the marble always gets its due.
