Move over, Chopped, there’s a new cooking show in town. Reese Witherspoon’s eponymous book club is teaming up with KitchenAid to bring a weekly culinary experience to Instagram, based entirely on best-selling books. Meet Eat the Book

Hosted by actor Christina Milian, each episode will delve into a previous choice from Reese’s Book Club: the plot, the character development, and—most important—its relationship to food. The first episode, which premiered Thursday, highlights The Proposal by Jasmine Guillory. The author, Milian, and chef Karyn Tomlinson gather to chat about the rom-com’s story while re-creating their favorite culinary scene from the book—a taco taste-testing date—by making L.A.-inspired tacos, salsa verde, and homemade ice cream. You can find the recipes on Reese’s Book Club’s Instagram page.

To re-create the recipes alongside the experts, you’ll need some hardworking tools of your own. Grab the classic KitchenAid stand mixer and blender, plus a knife set and nonstick pan (all from Amazon), and get cooking. Who knows what stories of your own you’ll dream up in the process.
