Early morning walks by the Eiffel Tower, breakfast at a quaint boulangerie, and midday strolls through the gardens of a palace. A day in Paris seems like nothing short of a dream. So when our Insta-crush Katie Mitchell agreed to let us tag along on a Sunday stroll through town, we knew something good was in store. After all, we wouldn’t expect anything less from the talented photographer. See for yourself.
“Paris is truly blessed with a plethora of gorgeous florists. I don’t think I’ll ever tire of the sight of the pink towers of peonies at the markets and can never resist buying a beautiful bunch or two for the coming week. If only peony season lasted all year round!”
“Bonjour everyone and happy weekend! Katie from Katie Mitchell Photography here and today I’m so excited to be sharing with you a few snaps to give you a little insight into what a Sunday in Paris looks like for me. While the rest of the city sleeps I’m usually up with the sun photographing on a Sunday morning – I think it has to be my favorite session of the week! It may seem a little crazy but the city is just so beautiful and calm at that time of day (and so worth getting out of bed for!)”
“Post photo shoot I’ll often stop by and pick up a couple of baked goods from a local boulangerie. Almond croissants are my weakness and perfect for a late Sunday morning brunch at home with the boy”
“Without a doubt, Parc de Sceaux is my happy place. Situated just outside of Paris (you can catch the RER B out to the suburbs) it is the perfect place to take a picnic lunch somewhere a little different on a weekend. There are acres of stunning gardens to explore and even an adorable Château on site (it’s kind of like a mini version of Versailles!)”
“I have the sweetest tooth and so tea and cake (of course!) with friends is a cherished Sunday afternoon ritual. I can often be found sampling the loveliest of pastries at Ladurée, a must try when in Paris”
“I love to wander around the city and enjoy stunning views like this one in the evenings. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve seen this lady sparkle and yet it is always one of the most wonderful ways to end the weekend. Merci beaucoup for following along on today’s takeover! Gros bisous and wishing you all the loveliest week ahead”
