Bonjour + happy Sunday, dears! @quaintrellebyab here. My-oh-my, I’m excited to be taking over today. It’s a pleasure to meet you. A little about me: I’m Ashley Bartlett, the founder of
Quaintrelle.ca
– a cultivation of life’s pleasures + a PR/social media consultant. Currently, I divide my time between Paris + Biarritz, by way of Toronto. Since Sundays are my favourite day of the week + also an ideal day to relish in la vie Parisienne, I’ve planned the perfect day for us. Follow along as I take you on a jaunt-y tour of my favourite summertime spots in Paris.  —

On Sunday I love to wake up without an alarm and languidly make my way to breakfast. Here, a lovely petit déjeuner at Carette in Le Marais. It’s nestled in the historic Place des Vosges, one of the oldest + most beautiful squares in Paris. Freshly squeezed juice, pain au chocolat, + café crème svp!  —

While we all know and love the traditional Haussmannian architecture of Paris, Rue Cremieux feels like a special little secret. A tiny street tucked in the 12th arrondissement, it’s lined with colourful, candy-hued row homes. Blue shutters! Trompe-l’œil wisteria! Pale pink facades! Lavender doors! My eyes are very happy here.  —

The summer fair is by far one of my favourite pastimes. While I love Toronto’s National Exhibition, Paris’ La Fête des Tuileries absolutely takes the cake! I mean, who can compete with the gardens? The celebrations go until the end of August + you can expect to find all your carnival thrills: rides, midway games, and cotton  candy. For sweeping views of the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, + jardin – you must ride the swings. Take my word for it. —

And finally, the best way to cool down on a hot summer’s day is with a visit to Paris-Plages, a wonderful faux beach set along the right bank of the Seine. Pull up a blue & white cabana striped chair, steal some shade from one of the white parasols, + enjoy a leisurely afternoon in the sun. And voilà, that’s all for now. Thank you for following along + be sure to check out more of my adventures at

. Bisous! xx —
