Justina Blakeney’s New Holiday Collection Is Refreshingly Nontraditional

Decorations you can (and should) leave up year-round.

Classic holiday hues like red and green have since been swapped for hot pink and silver and navy, but Justina Blakeney wants you to take it one step further with her latest product drop for Target’s Opalhouse x Jungalow. An emerald and yellow Advent calendar, a golden dove menorah, and raffia-wrapped pastel wreaths are just a couple of spins on tradition she’s incorporated into the launch.

Starting with a $5 shiny lidded candle, the line includes more than 80 products, from mantel accents to throw pillows, none of which scream “holiday.” Because Blakeney celebrates both Christmas and Hanukkah, she’s a big believer in mixing and matching decorations.

“I wanted to help guests create a space that offers good vibes during the winter months with nontraditional holiday pieces that work for everybody, no matter how you like to celebrate,” she explains.

The subtle winter motifs (think: doves and stars) allow the elements to be mixed in with what’s already in your home. It also means that they can be used all year round, perfect for those of us with little to no storage for extra decorations. We’re taking Taylor Swift’s advice to leave the Christmas lights up till January (or beyond).
