Last month Target announced Jungalow creator Justina Blakeney as its new home style expert, and she’s already hard at work—just in time for holiday decorating. Lucky for us, she’s sharing her winter wonderland ideas exclusively with Domino.

The designer recently made over her friend’s home with decor that nods to two celebrations: Christmas and Hanukkah. “The goal was to bring a warm and inviting feeling,” says Blakeney, “and to display symbols, colors, and elements that the two holidays have in common—for example: stars, twinkle lights, candles, and gold and silver details.”

The cozy scene is filled with tons of festive inspiration, especially for those who want to decorate early without worry of anything wilting by December: The garlands, wreaths, and tree are all faux, and the live branches, which she’s tucked into big vases, will last weeks. “These natural elements enliven spaces and bring the outdoors in,” notes Blakeney.

And then there are the elements that Blakeney says can stay up all year long. In a mustard, blush, sage, and rust palette, the wood pom-pom garland on the mantel is seasonless; monogrammed candles never have to go away; and the metallic peel-and-stick wallpaper behind the menorah can shine on well into 2021. Because this year, more than ever, who wouldn’t want the warm fuzzies to last as long as possible?
