Ikea is giving kids the chance to let their imaginations run wild—by turning some of their adorable drawings into real-life plush, snuggly toys, thanks to its fourth annual Soft Toy Drawing Competition.

From October 23 to November 7, little ones get the ultimate chance to let their creativity shine by creating an original drawing of their very own monster, animal, or creature, in the hopes of turning it into an Ikea-made soft toy. Children get free rein of their creations, and can even include a brief description of the toy’s attributes—from its name to its favorite food.

Children who fall under one of three age brackets—4 years or younger, 5 to 8 years old, and 9 to 12 years old—are eligible to take on the imaginative task of making their very own soft critter. Ikea Family members can submit drawings and descriptions, and wait to see if their child’s design makes it into the global competition. Grand prize winners will be made into real soft toys, and included in the next, limited-edition 2018 SAGOSKATT collection.

Additionally, in early December, three semi-finalists from each local store will be selected through an online consumer vote, and will each receive a $25 gift card. The 15 drawings with the most overall votes—along with five “IKEA Picks”—will move on to the global competition.

Part of the competition rules? Have fun. Past winners have inspired the velvety creation of a pink owl with glasses, a roaring lion, and a smiling red alien—so the options span as far as your child’s imagination will go.
