Who knew that the King of the North shopped at Ikea? Earlier this month, the costume designer behind the HBO hit show Game of Thrones admitted that the garb worn by the Northerners is no less than an Ikea hack, which utilizes a basic sheepskin.

While the masses reveled in this news, Ikea (in true fashion) provided a clever quip with a mini tutorial to achieve the look. Emulating the Swedish retailer’s classic instruction manuals, the post— hilariously dubbed “Vinter” or winter, in Swedish—offers up directions for recreating the heroes’ capes. The Skold Sheepskin may not look quite similar—apparently, the team goes through an arduous process to ensure that it results in a well-worn finish that suits the climate of the North. One thing’s for sure though, we’re sensing that we’ll be seeing quite a few of these getups come Halloween.
