Well Dressed: Chateau Orlando

It seems like anything Luke Edward Hall touches turns to gold. From hotel and product design to fine art, his distinct style (think: ancient Greece meets Italian romance) can be spotted a mile away. And now you can wear his work, too. The creative’s first-ever fashion and lifestyle brand, Chateau Orlando, launched February 12, and I am all over the medieval castle– and garden trellis–patterned knitwear. Plus wearing a sweater-vest over a button-down always makes me feel a little more put-together. But let’s be honest, the real star of the show is the limited-edition whippet poster. —Julia Stevens, style editor

Fully Baked: Home Dough 

I used to be the type of person who would unearth her KitchenAid from her bottom cabinet and whip up her own cookies from scratch, but after discovering these bags of frozen premade dough, I’m never looking back. Of Home Dough’s three flavors—Chocolate Chip, Molasses Ginger Spice, and Oatmeal Toffee—the last one went the fastest in my house, and I’ve learned they’re ideal on the nights when you just want one warm cookie topped with a scoop of ice cream. Having a Ball: Mat Sanders x Studio M 

Mat Sanders sees your standard globe lamp and raises you a dynamic lighting collection with Studio M. Inspired by the brasseries of Paris, the concepts of Scandinavian minimalism, and mid-century Italian masters (to start), the California-based interior designer has added translucent glass domes and thinly curved panels of perforated metal shades to the LED spheres, resulting in a series of pendant lamps and wall sconces that is out of this world. —Lydia Geisel, home editor 

First in Glass: Areaware x BZippy Hex Vase 

This year I want to be more of a fresh-flower person, and a new collab between Areaware and BZippy is coming through with all the inspiration I need. In a departure from the trademark ceramic pieces the latter is known for, the studio played with scale, transparency, and form to create its first-ever pieces in glass: the Hex vase. Influenced by Brutalist and industrial architecture, the stacked hexagonal shape adds some edge to the softness of a floral arrangement—perfect for not-so-flowery folks like me. —Raven McMillan, assistant editor

Background Checks: Hay x Ethan Cook Rugs

I’m always looking for a good twist on the checkerboard trend, and Hay’s latest collaboration is the perfect take. The rug collection, dubbed Flat Works, is designed by artist Ethan Cook, who is known for his color-blocked textile canvases. In spirited color combinations—navy blue and olive green, and ruby red and mustard yellow—the woven works (made from a wool-cotton blend) make a subtle statement in any living room. I’m envisioning the warm-hued Double Stack runner as the perfect hallway transition from my living room to my bedroom. —Kate McGregor, associate design editor

Art Buff: The Hole L.A.

I can always count on The Hole NYC to keep me in the know on the cool-kid art scene; owner Kathy Grayson curates the freshest talent out there. And now Los Angeles residents will have their very own (8,000-square-foot!) location, so they too can experience the raw thrill of the gallery’s dynamic offerings. The first exhibition, “New Construction,” is a best-of group show including artists such as Eric Shaw, Alex Gardner, and Morgan Blair—so you’re guaranteed to leave feeling inspired. —Naomi deMañana, style director
