Love it or hate it, dark green is having a major design moment. Named PPG’s Color of the Year, the forest-like hue is everywhere… and according to Dee Schlotter, PPG’s senior color marketing manager, a huge reason for that is a desire to bring the outside in. “To me, Night Watch symbolizes this distraction-free euphoria that you seem to only find in nature today,” she explains.

There’s something very calming about the trending shade, which makes a huge statement all on its own. But if you’re not ready to make the commitment to painting your walls, why not allow the soothing hue to work its magic through a simple decor item? For way less commitment and all of the style, check out our favorite forest green items ahead.

Chamberlin Velvet Sofa, Urban Outfitters, $898

A velvet piece of furniture in a jeweled tone is the ultimate luxury, and looks like something out of a fairytale when paired with the right accessories. We recommend gold accents, a sleek coffee table, and minimal throw pillows to accentuate this royal look.

Ombre Teal Rug, CB2, $799

With elements of dark green and lighter teal shades, this ombre rug is a serious showstopper. Place it by your entryway or another high-traffic space that allows the entire range of colors to be on full display.

Velvet Throw Pillow, Urban Outfitters, $34

If you favor neutral pieces of furniture, a forest green accessory is just the thing you need to give them a pop of color that isn’t as overwhelming as, say, a bright red. The velvet throw pillow is a wonderful option that’s the perfect blend of colorful, yet sophisticated.

Orbis Balsam Green Ottoman, Article, $349

Bring in the forest vibes with Article’s ottoman, which is reminiscent of the leather poufs you’d find wandering the flea markets of Marrakech. Throw a tray on top and it can pull double duty as a coffee table.

Green Wavy Effect Glassware, Zara Home, $5.90

Stylish serveware is a necessity all year long, which is why this wavy green option from Zara Home (on sale, no less!) is such a stunning addition to your tablescape. It goes from light to dark in a sleek, sophisticated manner—glass half full, always.

Rosewood and Chrome Tube Sofa, Coming Soon, $4,500

Inspired by the 1970s, lush rosewood and emerald green combine to create an unexpected, yet totally dreamy color palette. If you’re more of a modern farmhouse than minimalism lover, you’ll love the way rustic touches are incorporated, without erring on the side of kitschy.

AERIN Printed Trade Winds Beach Towel, Williams Sonoma, $69

Global lifestyle brand AERIN paired with Williams Sonoma for a fun take on stylish prints, as is evident from this tropical beach towel. Several shades of green and white give it a textured feel, and the plush terry is super soft.

Safavieh Joyce Faux Snakeskin Table Lamp, Set of 2, Houzz, $118.74

A melange of elegant textures make up the base of this snake-inspired lamp. Gold accents add to the mod, sophisticated vibe, and it’s thin enough to fit on the smallest side table. Small space dwellers, take note.

Tramontina 5.5-Qt Enameled Cast Iron Round Dutch Oven, Walmart, $37.82

Le Creuset who? If you’re looking for a classic Dutch oven that won’t break the bank, Walmart has you covered with this forest green option that would even look great displayed on your countertops, so lack of storage space, be damned.

Drake Chair, West Elm, starts at $799

There’s nothing like a cosy armchair to curl up with a good book. While you can customize this West Elm option any which way you desire, we’re leaning toward this distressed green number with solid black legs—it’s the perfect blend of edgy and demure.

Green Glass Droplet Vase, Terrain, $138

There’s no point having great blooms if you’re not displaying them correctly—which is why we’re loving pretty much everything in Anthropologie’s outdoor brand, Terrain’s new line, but are particularly drawn to this teardrop shaped vase. Made from recyclable material and just see-through enough to show off the stems of your freshly bought peonies, they’re a bright, original option for your living space.

Lixhult Cabinet, Ikea, $25

We’re suckers for a good Ikea storage item, and this cabinet is by far a winner. It has infinite possibilities—think faux dresser, under an entryway bench, or even in your bedroom as a side table—and the simple green hue makes you feel at peace instantly.

Marble Cutting Board, H&M Home, $29.99

We spoke of our love for green marble a long time ago, and this option is so affordable, you have no reason to say no. Add some class to your mundane kitchen tasks with a more stylish cutting board in the season’s hottest hue.
