Cult-favorite home brand Floyd has clearly spent the pandemic getting in touch with nature. For the first time the company is branching out from strictly interiors with the launch of an outdoor furniture collection. Created in collaboration with Brooklyn-based design studio Uhuru, the powder-coated aluminum Outdoor Set is completely weatherproof and includes three pieces: a stackable chair, a dining table (available in two sizes), and a bench as fit for the front porch as it is for the garden.

The collection is “very much inspired by industrial piping and conduit systems,” says the company’s cofounder and CEO, Kyle Hoff—but in hues that nod to the wonders of the natural world (grassy jade, sunshine yellow, midnight blue, sandy off-white) even if you’re in the middle of an urban jungle. Snap up a chair for just $265 (ideal for an apartment balcony), or deck out a whole patio in one swoop with the full $2,435 set (six chairs and a table). But you have to act soon—Floyd’s waiting list already has more than 2,000 sign-ups.

While the furniture can certainly be styled altogether, we’re fans of mixing and matching this season. Domino’s associate style editor, Julia Stevens, for one, is obsessed with the idea of pairing the Floyd table with teak chairs. “I can already see all the natural touches I’d add to the tablescape, like woven placemats and earth-tone cutlery, to create a layered and curated look that will last me all summer long,” she says. The first step to following suit is shopping the collection, below.
