There are a lot of options out there when it comes to selecting the right headboard for your space: Some homeowners prefer upholstered pieces, while others favor the look of reclaimed wood. But we have another material suggestion for you—rattan.

While you may typically think of rattan as a summer staple, we find the look perfect for every season. Let us convince you to toss a rattan headboard into your bedroom ASAP.

We’re all about this bedroom styled by Janet James, and this space makes every day feel like a vacation. The neutral color palette keeps the space so calm and soothing, we would love to spend all our Sunday evenings here.

Elsie Larson is the queen of creating quirky rooms, and her guest bedroom is no exception. The yellow banana leaf wallpaper—designed by Justina Blakeney—creates perfectly patterned walls, and the rattan bed really pops against the loud print. (You know the bed has some serious style when it can stand its own against such a bold wall!) To keep the space looking sane, stick to neutral bedding.

Have you checked out Mandi Gubler’s blog yet? If not, get ready to be captivated by her amazing vintage finds—and this green rattan bed is one of her best, in our opinion.

She styles it wonderfully, with kilim pillows and shibori throws. But despite all the original textiles, her bed is still a standout.

When it comes to mixing vintage and modern pieces, Emily Henderson nails the look every time—just take a peek at the sweet bedroom she designed for her darling daughter, Elliot. While baby sleeps in the crib, an overnight guest can catch some z’s on the vintage rattan daybed.

Rubyellen, blogger of the site Cakies, definitely has envy-inducing style—she created a magical bedroom for her young daughters that features a set of rattan twin beds. Since the walls are all white, it’s the textiles that really provide the color. We can only imagine the endless hours of play that will take place here.

Amber Lewis of Amber Interiors can do no wrong in our book. While we’re totally enthralled with her ability to mix prints and patterns, we can’t help but find ourselves focusing on the rattan bed in her bedroom—this bold and bright style is always a win in our book.
