You might as well know, I LOVE PINK!
PINK is for girls…if you say so. But, in truth, pink is for everyone. In fact, historically it was the designated BOY color. Pink can enhance and liven even the most masculine of spaces. Like the blush on a cowboy’s cheeks, pink adds life, warmth and even whimsy to a space. It also prevents it from taking itself too seriously and becoming humdrum and lifeless.
Lets take a look at 9 ways you can bring pink into your life and home!
1. walls
A little goes a long way with pink. If you are unsure, just start with one wall, which might be just enough to add the warmth you’re looking for.
2. paint
Not just for the walls. Add pink to the interior of a cabinet or the inside of drawers for a pop of happy!
3. lighting
I like to bring in pink to balance out natural elements like wood and metals.
4. fabric and upholstery
Especially on pillows and small pieces of furniture, which will add a dose of color and joy.
5. frames
This one is a Sugarboo Designs frame, Stray Dogs Designs Lamp, and pillow by Anna Maria Horner.
6. art
I love pink in art.
7. rugs
The floor is an often forgotten place to add color. These rugs by Dash and Albert have just enough pink to enhance but not overpower the 140 year old heart pine floors.
8.windows and curtains
Frame your room in a pink glow. I’ve yet to find a color that does not look good with pink!
9. appliances and accessories
Why not have a pop of pink in your kitchen to liven the mood and make cooking more colorful.
Enjoy finding the right pink in the right amounts for you. Remember: It’s only color; nothing to be afraid of.
