About
Angela Tafoya is a design and lifestyle editor with over 10 years experience, as well as the owner of secondhand children’s clothing store NOOMOON . She covers home, parenting, travel, and wellness all through the lens of design. She believes design should be accessible and personal—whether you’re moving into your first home or looking for inexpensive ways to add beauty to your everyday life, the benefits of good design should be enjoyed by all.
In her free time, she can be found hanging out with her family, reading her friends and family’s birth charts, shuffling her tarot deck, hunting for cute clothes for her kids’ resale shop, and getting out in nature whenever she can. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and two children.
Experience
Before opening NOOMOON, Angela worked as our editorial director of branded and talent. She made her way to Domino from Lonny, where she was also the editorial director, overseeing every touchpoint of the brand for six years. She was responsible for building its West Coast team and relaunching the brand to a broader audience. Prior to her post at Lonny, she was the West Coast lifestyle editor at Refinery29 where she covered home, travel, weddings, and West Coast content for the site for over four years. She loves discovering new brands and people—and covered major brands like Lisa Says Gah and Cuyana prior to their launch and has sourced talent for dozens of larger features on Refinery29 and Lonny.
She has been highlighted as an expert and design authority in publications and brands ranging from the San Francisco Chronicle, Anthropologie, and West Elm. Her writing has been featured in Conde Nast Traveler, Refinery29, Mother, Opening Ceremony, Louis Vuitton City Guide, and more. She has hosted brand events and participated in panels and conferences like Create & Cultivate and In Good Company—alongside names like Joy Cho, Alex Elle, Sherri McMullen, and more.
