In our series “Shopping Buddy,” we ask our favorite in-the-know authors, actors, musicians, and tastemakers to share their most coveted home purchases, from kitchen must-haves to coffee table books, so that you can shop along with confidence.

Most people pack their summers with long weekend beach trips, weddings, and barbecues. But Pamela Anderson is taking a much slower approach this season, finding beauty in quiet moments, long walks, and not knowing what’s next. “I found that good ideas come in the silence,” says the actress and model. “We have to get bored sometimes. It’s so full of rich information.” One spot where she can hear her own thoughts? Her garden. These days, she’s patiently waiting for her heirloom tomatoes to pop up and, meanwhile, planting apricot, plum, and peach trees and baking stone fruit cakes for her sweet-toothed dad. “My garden amazes me daily,” says Anderson.

Her outdoor space has sparked fresh ideas for her skincare brand, Sonsie: The cleansing mousse is infused with rose essence, there’s a balm with a subtle rhubarb scent, and her beloved Adapt cream is housed in a compostable jar that can be returned to the garden once empty. As Anderson embraces a relaxed pace of life, we asked her to elaborate on what’s making her happy at home these days.
