The Austin-based company, which launched in 2021, was approached by Ford when she couldn’t find a paddle she wouldn’t mind carrying around off the court. As expected, she gave an otherwise mundane product category the classic Ford treatment, designing paddles and balls in a soothing black-and-cream palette with painterly patterns like imperfect checkers, wavy lines, and Pollock-esque splatters. (Yes, we are still talking about sports here.)
A trio of balls comes in at $14, and the paddles are $86, which makes a set the perfect gift for your pickleball-curious friends out there. And if you were thinking about dabbling but haven’t made it out to the courts yet, consider this a sign.
